I'm GOING!
Bring your friends out TODAY, October 28th from 5:30pm to 8pm to Soul Harvest Ministries, 17 Church St. Highland Park, MI 48203. Soul Harvest Ministries is a Family friendly space. Visit Our Facebook Event Page!
In celebration of National Co-op Month, Mindful B Anthony of Detroit Community Wealth Fund (DCWF) and Soulardarity invite you to explore exciting ideas about Cooperative Enterprises in Highland Park through education & engagement via Co-opoly: Game of Cooperatives.
Co-ops follow a set of 7 principles and profits are re-invested in the business or redistributed to owners. It's a way of doing business that emphasizes community.
We will learn through discussion, games and explore the importance of entrepreneurship, black cooperative economics, & community ownership for HP.
This is a DCWF Co-ops for Communities of Color Series. Co-ops are equally owned and democratically controlled enterprises. Let's explore what co-ops can mean for Highland Park.
What co-op businesses do Highland Parker's want to see?
African people have used co-ops and cooperative economics as a cultural foundation for economic survival and community building. Co-ops are member-owned and controlled businesses where each member has an equal vote in how the business runs.
