In November of 2021, DTE Energy asked the Michigan Public Service Commission to increase electricity rates by $388 Million Per Year.

They want another $233 Million from Michigan’s homes and families every year, so they can give an additional $283 Million to DTE’s shareholders - every year.

This follows a pandemic year in which:

DTE Energy made record profits off of residential ratepayers

DTE Energy caused major blackouts and reliability problems

DTE Energy shut off power at incredible rates as soon as moratoriums were lifted
