In light of the upcoming DTE solar project in Detroit, Soulardarity is holding a community discussion of the ways communities can own and develop clean energy. While we should be supportive of and excited about utilities investing in clean energy, it is important to understand the limited community impact it will have. Through community-owned solar, Detroiters can work together to invest in clean energy, reduce their energy costs, and drive economic development that makes a real difference.
